The coreless motor breaks through the structure of the rotor of the conventional motor in structure, and adopts a coreless rotor, also called a coreless rotor.

This novel rotor structure completely eliminates the power loss caused by the eddy current of the core, and the weight and the moment of inertia are greatly reduced, thereby reducing the mechanical energy loss of the rotor itself. Due to the structural changes of the rotor, the operating characteristics of the motor have been greatly improved, not only has outstanding energy-saving features, but more importantly, it has the control and drag characteristics that the iron core motor cannot achieve.

The coreless motor is divided into two types: brushed and brushless. The rotor of the brushed coreless  motor has no iron core, and the stator of the brushless coreless motor has no iron core.
